I believe that Jimmy Butler is correct in this whole situation in with Minnesota. He called out not only KAT and Wiggins, but even went after the GM Scott Layden and head coach Tom Thibodeau. There are reports that say Jimmy showed up late to practice and subbed himself into the scrimmage with the third stringers and beat the starters. Jimmy dominated the scrimmage and let everyone know about it. He called Wiggins soft and asked KAT why he liked getting dunked on so much. He let the GM know that the team needed him and that the team wouldn’t win without him. This all happening after 3 weeks of trade rumors after Butler demanded a trade.
I think that Jimmy was correct in the intent of his actions. He could’ve maybe went about it a different way but Jimmy did what he thought was the right thing to do. I think that Jimmy wanted to prove a point to Wiggins and KAT that they were not performing to the level that they need to play. The Timberwolves have been underperforming for I and most people, like Jimmy, think over the past couple of seasons. KAT and Wiggins have been talked about having some of the best potential in the league today but we haven’t seen anything from them, especially Wiggins. I think Jimmy was just trying to prove to the Wolves and everyone else that he is a great player and a great teammate. I think he did not like the image being created about him through the past weeks due to the trade rumors. Could he have gone about it a different way? Sure. But Jimmy was just out there in practice competing and playing the only way he knows, pedal to the metal.
Tell us what you think below. Is Jimmy right? Will he be traded?
